    Albacor Shipping Inc. was started in 1998 by Wolfgang Spillner & Gerald Hess. Having extensive experience in the transportation industry, and a world full of contacts and trustworthy partners to work with, they seized the opportunity to offer their customers a custom tailored package of transportation services, with the focus on personalized service at very competitive rates.

    As of Nov. 1, 2003, Albacor Shipping Inc. and Aquarius Shipping Inc. have merged their operations to create a larger, stronger shipping company with broad project and heavy lift capabilities. The founder and owner of Aquarius Shipping, Norbert Tiemann, has joined the team as part owner and Executive Vice President. The operations will work under the ALBACOR SHIPPING INC. name.

    Albacor Shipping (USA) Inc. was opened on Feb. 1, 2001 in Mahwah, NJ. Bernd Ferber, a transport professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry, is the President of this company. Willy Hoffmann joined Albacor Shipping (USA) Inc. in October 2004 in the capacity of Senior Vice President.

    With the addition of Albacor Eastern Transport GmbH in Berlin in 2009 and Albacor Shipping Russia and Albacor Siberia in 2010, Albacor Shipping is well established to serve the difficult markets in Russia and the states of the former Soviet Union not only from North America but locations worldwide.
